The Monkeys and the Calgary Zoo

So, it's Road Trip Day Five. This morning we went to the Calgary Zoo. Let me say, the Calgary weather is crazy. It was downright cold when we went to the Zoo. Jackets and longsleeved shirts. By the time we had early lunch, it was HOT. Like, change into t-shirts and wish we brought shorts hot.
The kids had a good time. But they were tired by the end. This is them just before we had ice cream and played in the crazy play structure. Don't they make cute kangaroos?

They are very funny. Zach has to do what the Boo is doing. She wanted into the back of the stroller (it's a two kid, one kid standing stroller) so of course he had to go too. This is as we were coming out of the dinosaur part of the Zoo. (Yes the Calgary Zoo is so awsome, it has dinosaurs. ha!)

This is Danica, about Five minutes after telling us that she didn't want her photo taken. Then she climbs on this rock and is all Take a Picture Of Me!!!!

We also got to feed the ducks. It was kind of cool, they are so overfed by humans that they come right up and eat out of your hand! Very cool! The kids really liked that. We spent about four hours at the zoo. It was really great.
Tonight (well, this afternoon, post nap) we will be headed to the other set of family that we have in Calgary (the Coles) for dinner. After dinner we are going to go to Village Square Leisure Center. They have another wave pool and all sorts of water slides and a "safari splash zone." It will be late when we go, but they close at 4:30 on Tuesdays and re-open at 7:00 pm, so we don't have much of a choice. Well, we could miss it, but we really want to go!
Tomorrow it's off to Cross Iron Mills Outlet Mall and then on to Banff. Mountains! I'm so excited!

I love the kangaroo with the kids sitting in its pouch. So cool!
