I found this fascinating quote today:
John Senders was involved in the first experimental on-line journal. After the project was concluded, Senders reflected, “I have seen the future, and it doesn’t work.” This comment became the title of a speech he gave in 1980 at the Annual Meeting of the Society for Scholarly Publishing in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
