To my Zach-Attack!
Three years have passed since you made our world a whole lot brighter.
Your smiles and easy going attitude are the highlight of many peoples day, Mommy's included.
You woke up this morning at 4:47 AM, a little later than the time you were born (3:01 AM) but still way to early to be up for the day. But you wouldn't go back to sleep.
We brought cupcakes to daycare to celebrate, but Daddy had to rescue us because the cupcakes I brought may have looked at some form of nut sometime during their baking and were considered a death trap, so Daddy found a nut free bakery and left work to deliver Birthday Day Saving Cupcakes! He's a Hero!!!
This morning you opened up a Ken Doll from your sister and a Mater outfit (Mater being your favorite thing in the world right now!) and a "tiny Woody" to go with your "tiny Buzz". (the Makers of Toy Story did this on purpose so they could kill themselves laughing at those things...)
Some things going on in the world today:
The Weather outside is .... Eek cold!
It's a balmy -10 C out right now, which is not bad at all. Compared to last year, this is down right tropical. We also have tons and tons of snow, we've got almost a full meter of snow already this year and you and Danica love playing in it!
This weekend, the Top 10 Songs on the Radio (in Winnipeg) were:
10. Flo Rida - Club Can't Handle Me
9. Bruno Mars - Just the Way You Are
8. Black Eyed Peas - The Time (Dirty Bit)
7. Usher - DJ Got Us Falling In Love
6. Edward May and Mia Martina - Stereo Love
5. Ke$ha - We R Who We R
4. Nelly - Just A Dream
3. Katy Perry - Fire Work
2. Pink - Raise your Glass
1. Rhianna - Only Girl In the World
You aren't really in to any of those songs right now. We don't listen to the radio as much anymore because we have less driving now. We moved in the last year, and we listen to the iPod in the car. You still love Taylor Swift (the Cheerleading song, which is "You Belong With Me") and you LOVE the Young Artists for Haiti song - Wavin' Flag. You also recently fell in love with the "crazy song" as you call, although the rest of the world knows it as ABBA's Mamma Mia. :-)
You still love to sing and sing all the time. Cutest thing ever? You singing "This Old Man"... you wouldn't rhyme a word with the number, you'd just sort of pause and end with "give a dog a horse." each time... This old man, he played seventeen, he played seventeen...... ...... with a knick knack paddy whack give a dog a horse.... this old man...
So adorable.
You love to sing the farmer in the dell, the sandwiches song, jingle bells. pretty much anything you can pick up the words to. You learned all of Danica's Christmas Concert music with her.
What are you like right now? Very easy going. Very Talkative. Very expressive. You usually listen very well.
Your favorite books right now are mostly Sandra Boyton (still!). You love the Little Pooky books. You also love your Cars stories. You are big into Cars and Toy Story right now.
You will not go to sleep without Tiny teddy and Little Tiny Teddy.
You still love Toopy and Binou and Thomas the Train. Disney's Cars (Especially Mater) and Toy Story are also favorites. You and Danica both love Sponge Bob Square Pants. You like the idea of Transformers, but you have no idea what they are really.
You love to play with Cars and trains and read books to entertain yourself. You are starting to "read" (from memory) to yourself too, which is very adorable.
You and your sister play so well together. I hope that lasts too.
Happy Birthday to my Sweet little guy. Two wasn't terrible, and I hope Three is Terrific!
