Happy 2nd Birthday Bit Bit!

To my Sweety-guy,

Here you are, my little guy, two years old. Where have two whole years gone???

You've grown so much from two years ago. You came into this world at 3:01 am, much easier than your sister, I might add! That first day you got some visiters, including your big sister who proudly informed the pediatricition that you were Howard Zachary. She just calls you Zachy now.

We had your party on Saturday. You had loads of fun playing with Peyton and Elliott.

When it came time to open your gifts, each one you exclaimed "whoa!" when you opened it and then immediately ran over to Uncle Brent and said "Check it out!" Each gift. It was very funny.

You got tons of things you love: a Cars chair (so now you can stop sitting in the Cinder-lella chair of your sisters), a Wall-e outfit, a Cars t-shirt, tons of PJs, a foam Battle Axe, a truck, a book. You got more stuff than that, but those are the things you really like. You also got a very nice teddy bear which you were really excited about. The neat part was that we got to tell you to go put it on your bed, which was switched to your big boy bed while you were out of the room! We hope you like your new bed.

Two Winnipeg Police officers saved the life of a newborn born at home on Sunday. Way to go WPS!!!

The wider world is full of pain and hardship, and I'm having trouble finding good things to remind you of your day, so I'll stick with some local news. I'm sure there is good news everywhere, but people only like to report the bad stuff.

Of those songs, you like #4, Whatcha Say. When it comes on the radio you say "mommy, I like this song."

What are you like right now? Very easy going. This weekend you decided you no longer need naps, but we'll see. You love to talk (really? coming from our family? ha ha! Surprised you get a word in edge-wise). You also love to sing. You sing along to songs on the radio all the time. We listen to Taylor Swift a lot, you know most of her songs.

You know all three verses to Twinkle Twinkle and sing them to yourself when you are in your high chair sometimes. We sing "Dream a Little Dream" every night before bed, and you know all the words. You always stop though when we get to "say nighty night and kiss me" to give me a kiss. You are very sweet.

You are also weird in that you like to clean up! Don't lose that! You have no problem tidying your toys or stacking your books when you are done.

Your favorite books right now are mostly Sandra Boyton. Pajama Time, What's Wrong Little Pooky? (you say all the "no" parts, but you say it funny... more like noe-nh) and But Not the Hippopotamus are your three favorite.

You still have to have your su-su to go to sleep. You love your bears too.

You love Toopy and Binou, Thomas the Train, Super Why and (oddly enough) Strawberry Shortcake on TV.

You love to play with Cars and trains and read books to entertain yourself. You are starting to "read" (from memory) to yourself too, which is very adorable.

You and your sister play so well together. I hope that lasts too.
