I found this recipe this summer in the Free Press. it is very yummy. Art made it for me for the first time this weekend, and it was sooooo good!!!
Five Minute Chocolate Mug Cake
4 tbsp all-purpose flour
4 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cocoa
1 egg
3 tbsp milk
3 tbsp oil (I only used 2, 3 seems ilke a lot!)
3 tbsp chocolate chips (optional)
2 to 3 drops vanilla
1 coffee mug
Add dry ingredients to the mug and mix well with a fork. Add the egg and mix thoroughly. Pour in the milk, il and vanilla and mix well. Scrape the sides of the mug to make sure that all the dry ingredients are mixed in.
Place the mug in the microwave and cook for 3 minutes at 1000 watts (high).
The cake will rise over the top of the mug then sink back down when the microwave turns off. Allow it to cool a little as chocolate loses it's taste when it's too hot. Tip out onto a plate. Run a knife around the edge if it doesn't come out easily. Serves 2 if you feel like sharing. Goes great with Ice cream!!!
