Belly Off Diet

So, Art and I are doing this belly off diet by Men's Health Magazine.

So far it's pretty good. There are lots of healthy snacks during the day (fruit, cheese, yogurt, veggies, smart pop popcorn) and the meals are good.

it fits into our lifestyle very well because you print out the shopping list at the beginning of the week, shop, and then prepare your food. On average the dinners take maybe 25 minutes to prepare and cook. The kids can eat the dinner most of the time, it's nothing too weird. There is steak and mushrooms every week on Tuesday (yum!)

You are "supposed" to go out to dinner once every two weeks on Friday. We're going on Week 4 and so we should go out this week. I'm not sure we will.

We like it so far. I would recomend looking into it (just google it, you'll find it.) if you want an eating plan that isn't a fad diet, restricting everything. If you are like me and want to eat healthy, but can't find the time or don't have the drive to organize and plan your own healthy menu, here's one for you! If it has any drawbacks, it's that it's geared towards men, and maybe doesn't have enough calcium for women. But that's easily fixed with either a multi-vitamin or drinking a large glass of milk every day. The rest is taken care of with the cheese and yogurt. :-)
